How to make Sweet Potato Tikkis
To make this super easy Sweet Potato Tikki, begin with washing 4 medium sized sweet potatoes. Then peel off the skin and pressure cook with water for 2-3 whistles.
To reduce the cooking time, you can prick the potatoes using a fork and bake them.
In the meantime, chop 2 medium sized onions, 4-5 green chillies, 1 ½ handful of coriander leaves, mix it all together.

Next, release the steam, take the potatoes out, mash them nicely and add to the onion mixture. Next add in 1 tablespoon of ginger garlic paste, salt, turmeric, 1 teaspoon of red chilli powder, 1teaspoon roasted cumin powder.1 teaspoon coriander seeds powder and lastly ½ teaspoon garam masala and ½ teaspoon black pepper.
Mash and mix it all together to bind the dish. You can add 3 tablespoon of semolina, this will give your tikkis a crispy texture.
Extract small balls from the mixture, flatten them nicely and roll them over some breadcrumbs and shallow fry. Transfer them to a plate and serve with dahi, papdi and chutneys.
